How To Fix The extended attributes are inconsistent Error in windows 8/8.1/10-the extended attributes are inconsistent windows 10.



I get the following error message while try to access the registry settings(regedit) in my windows 10 pc:

C:\Windows
egedit.exe

The extended attributes are inconsistent.



This error solution is also common for windows 7,windows 8,windows 8.1,windows 10.




Solution:

1.Goto "Run" then type"netplwiz".

2.Choose your pc name and then click"Properties".

3.Select"Group Membership" and then click "Other".

4.Choose "Administrators" in other option.

5.It asking "Do you want to sign out now?" you can choose "yes".

6.After the sign out again try to access the same command "regedit".

7.This time the command is working successfully the problem is solved.
