In this tutorial video, I'll show you how to turn off password protected sharing in Windows 10 and Windows 11. After every major Windows update, the network settings get reset and password protected sharing is automatically enabled. So, if you've been wondering how to turn off password protected sharing in Windows 10 or Windows 11 after your computer has installed one of these major updates like 22H2 or 23H2, then this video is for you as I'll take you through the process step-by-step.

If you've turned off password protected sharing in Windows and it still asks for password, try this:
1. Restart all computers & network equipment (Routers, Switches etc.)
2. Type only the Username into the field, leave the password blank and press enter.
3. Try and connect to the computer via the IP address and not the computer name.
