Your Windows License Will Expire Soon Windows 10, 8.1 & 7 permanent Fix
In this video, I will show you how to fix notification error that say “your windows license will expire soon. You need to activate windows in settings” in Windows 10, windows 8 or windows 7.
The notification keep pop up even if the windows is activated.
There are many sources for Your Windows License Will Expire Soon notification, such as windows errors, recent windows updates, wrong date of PC, illegal activation method or the activation period will expire soon.
So, the solution will depend on your error source and expiration date, which could be: correcting the PC date, troubleshooting the error in computer or via the organization, Reinstalling the current or new activation key, removing recent updates or removing the expired license key.
Solutions:
1. Using date and time setup:
1.b Revert the date back to extend the validation period of your key:
1.b.4. Disable Background Intelligent Transfer Service and windows update service by executing the following commands:
Net stop bits
Net stop wuauserv
The second solution:
By using windows Trouble-shooter or by contacting your organization such as school or company to renew your license or to fix reactivation server.
Third solution:
By reinstalling the current key or adding new one:
3.a.1. Download the text file from the following link in video description to show your product key:

3.a.4. Change the extension from TXT to vbs then click save button.
3.a.8. Type SLMGR /upk to uninstall or to delete the product key
3.a.11. Open text file that contains your installed key
3.a.12. Type SLMGR /IPK without hitting enter
3.a.13. Paste the activation key after previous command and hit Enter.
As you can see, the windows reactivated again and no more notification error says that Your Windows License Will Expire Soon in lenovo, Dell, Acer, Hp, Asus, Toshiba or any laptop.
3.b. Also you can purchase a new product key from Microsoft official website or from any sale representative in your city.
Fourth solution:
Removing recent updates:
If you think the Your Windows License Will Expire Soon error result from recent windows updates, then do a system restore to a date before installing that update:
4.a.1. Press Windows + R keys to open Run tool.
4.a.2. Type sysdm.cpl and hit Enter to open system properties
4.a.3. Navigate to System protection tab
4.a.4. Click on System Restore button
4.a.7. Select the restore point with a date before appearance of your issue
OR
Remove the recent update manually as followings:
4.b.1. Press Windows + R key to open Run tool.
4.b.2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit Enter to open programs and features
4.b.3. Click on View installed updates option
4.b.4. Click on installed on column to rearrange installed updates according to date of installation.
Fifth solution:
Removing the expired license key:
The following method is the most effective one if you have an expired key or if your windows activated using pirated key or by crack tool.
5.2. Type SLMGR /xpr and hit Enter to see the expiration date.
5.3. If your key is expired or will expire soon, then remove it to disable Your Windows License Will Expire Soon pop up notification message.
5.4. To remove License key type:
SLMGR /upk
Now you are done, and no more error saying that, Your Windows License Will Expire Soon.
