Let’s see the windows version and build number before starting upgrade process.
Press Windows + R key from keyboard to open Run tool.
Type WINVER and hit ENTER to show windows details.
As you can see, I have a windows 7 Ultimate.
Let’s see activation status of the windows
Right-click on Computer Icon and select Properties option.
As you can see, Windows 7 is activated using Genuine activation key.

Notes:
- Make sure you have enough disk space before upgrading your PC.
- Make sure your PC is connected to an electric source.
- You should have a 2 gigabytes or more of RAM in order to install or upgrade to windows 10.

Let’s starting:
Locate the ISO file of the downloaded windows.
Double click the ISO file to mount it as a virtual DVD drive.
Double-click Setup file
Click on Change how Windows Setup Downloads Updates.
Select Download updates, drivers and optional features if you have an internet connection.
If you haven't internet connection, select not at the internet.
Click on Next option.
Click on Accept option to continue.
If your windows language is different from the language of ISO file, you will see this notification message.
Click on Ok to continue.
If you need to change what to keep and what to delete, click on What to keep option and choose what you want.
If you need to keep all files and apps, select the first option then click on Next.
Click on install option to start upgrading processes.
Your PC will restart several times. This might take a while.
Make sure your PC is connected to the electric source, because your PC will go into a problem if it shut down during Installation processes.
Its worth noting that the upgrade processes may take about an hour, but for your convenience, we have modified the video speed in order to make it available in an acceptable duration.


To check activation status, click on start icon and select Settings option.
Select Update and Security option.
Click on activation option.
As you can see, windows 10 pro is activated in my computer.
If you have upgraded from windows 7 or windows 8, you may need to reinstall some drivers or just connect your computer to the internet and it will install driver's updates that are suitable for windows 10.


To delete windows.old, do the followings:
Right-click on start icon and select System option.
Click on Storage option
Select Temporary files option.
Check Previous windows Installations option, or select all options if you want, then click on Remove files option to delete all files.

In this video, I will show you how to fix notification error that say “your windows license will expire soon. You need to activate windows in settings” in Windows 10, windows 8 or windows 7.

The notification keep pop up even if the windows is activated.

There are many sources for Your Windows License Will Expire Soon notification, such as windows errors, recent windows updates, wrong date of PC, illegal activation method or the activation period will expire soon.

So, the solution will depend on your error source and expiration date, which could be: correcting the PC date, troubleshooting the error in computer or via the organization, Reinstalling the current or new activation key, removing recent updates or removing the expired license key.


Solutions:
1. Using date and time setup:
1.b Revert the date back to extend the validation period of your key:
1.b.4. Disable Background Intelligent Transfer Service and windows update service by executing the following commands:
Net stop bits
Net stop wuauserv


The second solution:
By using windows Trouble-shooter or by contacting your organization such as school or company to renew your license or to fix reactivation server.

Third solution:
By reinstalling the current key or adding new one:

a. Open BIOS settings and navigate to boot tab
b. Change the boot priority into UEFI first and boot mode into UEFI or Vis versa.
c. Change SATA controller mode from AHCI into compatibility mode or vis versa.
d. Change the HDD or SSD with windows into the top of bootable drives list. You can use F5 and F6 keys from keyboard in Lenovo and similar laptops or through mouse buttons as on Asus and similar laptops.
e. If you have a GPT or UEFI System, make sure that the windows boot Manager is the first item in the boot priority list.
f. In dell or another laptop with similar BIOS, make sure that all SATA controllers are enabled.
g. If the issue is after cloning the HDD to SSD, disconnect the HDD from the computer and boot from SSD.
h. You have to enable Compatibility Support Mode or CSM from advanced boot options.

2. How to repair Corrupted BCD file:

Replace X with the volume number of boot partition

If you see No in front of Active, turn it into active using the following command:

Make sure that windows partition it is NOT active, otherwise type INACTIVE command to deactivate it.
If the boot partition is not active, you will get one or both of the followings messages:
The boot configuration data store could not be opened.
The system cannot find the file specified.

Disconnect the windows disk then reconnect it again.
4.2. Physical Damage to the disk:
Use Windows Management Instrumentation Command (wmic) or Check Disk (CHKDSK) tools to check disk health and to fix repairable bad sector.

In my laptop, the issue appears several times a day while using the Google chrome browser and the screen becomes unresponsive for 2 or 3 seconds, so I fixed the issue by disabling the acceleration from the settings as you can see later on the video. However, in your computer the issue may caused by another app or game, or it may related to a general issues and I will show you how to deal with all of them. But if the source of error is the defective graphic adapter, you have to contact the laptop manufacturer for maintenance support or replace the corrupted graphic adapter with new one.

First: Updating graphic drivers.
If there are more than one graphic adapters in your laptop, you have to determine which one is the source of error from event viewer:
Press on windows + R keys to open Run dialogue.
Type eventvwr and hit Enter to open Event Viewer. Also you can open it by right-click on start icon and select Event Viewer from the list.
Double click the custom views to expand it and Select Administrative Events.
Search for Display error and select it to show the error details.
If the event detail not shown, click on view and select Preview Pane to show it.
In my case, the error is related to Intel HD graphic Driver based on the error details that say, “Display driver igfx stopped responding and has successfully recovered” and the event ID number 4101.

This error occurs when you are trying to copy a file with size larger than 4 gigabytes to a USB flash drive has fat32 file system even if the available free space is larger.
The maximum allowed size for each file in FAT32 system is 4 gigabytes, so to fix this issue, you have to convert the file system of the USB card to NTFS system.
You can convert the file system to NTFS using command prompt or by formatting the USB using the NTFS file system, but the second method will delete all files in the USB pen drive permanently.

To convert the USB flash drive to NTFS without losing data, do the followings:
Type CMD into search box
Right-click on Command Prompt and select Run as administrator.
Type the following command and press Enter:
CONVERT I: /FS:NTFS
(Replace I: with the letter of USB drive in your computer)
If the conversion failed with this error message, cannot create the elementary file system structures, you have to search and fix disk error using CHKDSK tool or disable Microsoft antivirus or similar app temporarily.
To fix disk error execute the following command:
CHKDSK I: /F /R /X /B
(Replace I: with the letter of USB drive in your computer)

If the file system has not changed, try to disable antivirus app.
Click on Virus and threat protection.
Scroll down to the lower section and click on Manage Settings.
Disable real-time protection.

Now back to the command prompt.
Type the shown command again and hit Enter:
CONVERT I: /FS:NTFS
As you can see, the File system changed to NTFS successfully.
Let’s try to copy a larger file again.
As you can see, the file is now copying to the USB flash card without issue.

Second method: By formatting the USB in an NTFS file system.

Also you can convert the USB File system into NTFS by formatting the USB drive, but as stated previously, all files and data on the USB will be deleted permanently.
If there are no important files inside the USB, you can format the USB pen drive as followings:
Right-click on the USB drive and select, Format option.
Change the file system into NTFS
Make sure the Quick format option is checked

Method number 1:
1.a. Type CMD into Search box
1.b. Right-click on Command prompt and select, Run as administrator.
1.c. Type the following command to see if the windows recovery environment enabled or not:
Reagentc /info
As you can see, windows R E status is disabled on my PC.
1.d. To enable it, type the following command and hit Enter:
Reagentc /enable
1.e. If reagentc /enable not working with the following error message:
REAGENTC.EXE: Unable to update Boot Configuration Data.

Execute the following command to fix that:
Dir /a /s c:\winre.wim

Now, enable windows recovery environment using the following command:
REAGENTC /ENABLE




Method number 2:
Execute the following command to search for WinRe.wim path:
Dir /a /s c:\winre.wim
2.b. Type the following command without hitting Enter:
Reagentc /setreimage /path
2.c. Copy the path of WinRe.wim file and paste it after the command then hit Enter.

The followings are the common default paths for WinRe.wim file:
C:\Windows\System32\Recovery
C:\Recovery\WindowsRE
2.d. Now, enable windows recovery environment using the following command:
REAGENTC /ENABLE
2.e. Execute Reagentc /info command again to make sure the windows recovery environment enabled.


Method number 3:

3.a. If you get File not found error after executing Dir /a /s c:\winre.wim, that means the window recovery file is not on the C partition. So try to replace C with all partitions in your PC one by one.
If you do not have a DVD of windows installation, download a Windows ISO file that is similar or newer than your windows version and build number.

3.c. You can know the version and build number of your windows by hitting windows + R keys from keyboard then type Winver and hit Enter.

3.r. Execute the following command to enable Windows recovery Environment:
REAGENTC /ENABLE


LET’S SEE IF THE FACTORY RESET WILL WORK OR NOT.
A. Close command prompt and try again to reset your system.
B. Choose the first option if you need to do a system reset without losing your files.

C. If there is no important files in your computer, choose the second option to remove everything on the C partition.
D. If you still unable to proceed with windows factory reset, try to disable WinRE then enable it again by executing the following commands:
reagentc /disable
reagentc /enable
E. After that restart the windows and try again to reset your computer.

This video will show you three methods to solve this problem without disk formatting and without losing your data, but before showing solutions, you have to know what does this error message mean, so you can select the suitable solution.
Usually, this error appears if you are trying to install windows 11, windows 10, windows 8 or older windows operating systems, specifically if you have booted from a bootable USB that has a GPT disk scheme, while the internal disk has an MBR disk scheme.
This error indicates that the Legacy is enabled or the Compatibility Support Module (CSM) is disabled in your BIOS settings, as the Legacy mode supports only a bootable USB created in an MBR disk scheme in order to install windows.
On the other hand, UEFI mode supports only GPT disk scheme. So if the UEFI mode enabled in BIOS settings, you will fail to install windows from a USB created in MBR disk scheme unless the CSM mode is enabled, and you will see an error message saying that “The selected disk is of the GPT partition style”.


Outline of the Suggested Solutions:
1. Create a bootable USB in your mobile that supports both GPT and MBR systems.
2. Recreate a bootable USB in MBR file system if you are using Rufus Tool
3. Converting the Computer disk scheme from GBT to MBR and then Enable UEFI mode in BIOS settings.

How to manually repair corrupted system files from USB or locally, in order to fix boot loop or start up failure in windows 11, 10, 8 & 7 with blue screen error.

There are many tools that can be used to automatically fix the start up or boot failure, such as Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool or System File checker tool, but they fail to repair corrupted system in some situations.
So, this video will help you to repair the corrupted system files if the DISM or SFC tools fail with one of the following error messages:
“Windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them”

“Windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation”

Steps:
Boot into Advanced Recovery Options from bootable USB of windows.

Click on Start-up repair option to help you know the name and location of the corrupted file.

Memorize the letter of windows partition to use it in place of D in my commands.

If the start-up repair tool fails to show you the details of the corrupted file, execute this command then open the SFC log file:
SFC /SCANNOW /OFFBOOTDIR=C: /OFFWINDIR=D:\WINDOWS

Open SFC log file using this command:
NOTEPAD D:\WINDOWS\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

Open command prompt and execute the following command to open the SrtTrail log file:
NOTEPAD D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\LOGFILES\SRT\SRTTRAIL.TXT

Search for the corrupted file inside windows folder using this command:
DIR /S /A D:\WINDOWS\HAL.DLL

Take administrative ownership and full access of the corrupted file using these commands:
TAKEOWN /F D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL
ICACLS D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL /GRANT ADMINISTRATORS:F

If the file is missing, the previous 2 commands are not required.

Backup the corrupted file using this command:
Ren D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL HAL.DLL.old

Replace the corrupted file using this command:
XCOPY /H D:\WINDOWS\WINSXS\ D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

Execute these commands to show the letters of all volumes:
DISKPART
LIST VOL

Create new folder using this command:
MD D:\MOUNT

Mount the first index of the windows installation using this command:
DISM /MOUNT-IMAGE /IMAGEFILE:H:\SOURCES\INSTALL.WIM /INDEX:1 /MOUNTDIR:D:\MOUNT /READONLY

Replace the H with the letter of the USB or DVD drive, and replace the D with the letter of windows partition in your computer.

Copy the required file from mounted folder using this command:
XCOPY /H D:\MOUNT\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\HAL.DLL D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32

This method will allow you to switch firmware from Basic Input/Output System (BIOS) to Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI).
UEFI mode has many advantages over Legacy mode, such as secure boot, faster startup, bypassing MBR disk limit of a 2 Terabytes as maximum disk size with four primary partitions as maximum numbers, in addition, UEFI will allow you updating to or installing windows 11 in your computer.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
Before attempting to convert the disk to GPT, make sure that your computer supports UEFI because the conversion process can’t be reversed back without losing data.
Once the disk gets converted to GPT disk scheme, the BIOS firmware must be reconfigured to boot in UEFI mode.
Windows Recovery Environment should be enabled, so you can recover your system if you advanced into a trouble.

FIRST: How to check if your computer supports UEFI:

Type CMD into search box
Right click on Command prompt and select, Run as administrator
Execute this command to convert the disk into GPT:
MBR2GPT /CONVERT /ALLOWFULLOS
If you are trying that from Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) or preinstallation environments, you have to change the CMD path to System32 folder using this command:
CD /D D:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
Then execute the command without /ALLOWFULLOS option
Otherwise, the command will fail with this error message
MBR2GPT is Not Recognized as internal or external command.
If the conversion failed with this or another error message, “Disk layout validation failed for disk 0” then you have to check the followings:
The disk is currently having an MBR scheme
The Bitlocker is disabled on the disk.
There are no more than 3 primary partitions on the disk with at least 1-megabyte free space in all partitions
There is no any extended or logical partition on the disk
The system partition is set as active and contains valid BCD file


Execute LIST VOL to show available volumes
Select windows volume using this command:
SEL VOL 2
Type LIST PART then press Enter to show available partitions

Select the partition to be deleted using this command:
SEL PART 4
Delete the selected partition using this command:
DELETE PARTITION


Execute EXIT command to close the DISKPART
Press up arrow key from keyboard to explore previous commands, then execute MBR2GPT again to start conversion.
The conversion process completed successfully after removing the fourth partition, but failed to update the reagent.xml file with suggestion to manually disable and enable WinRE.
Now power off the computer to change BIOS settings.


FOURTH: How to change settings of BIOS firmware to boot in UEFI mode:
Power on the PC then Boot into BIOS menu as seen in first part of the video.
Navigate to Boot option and change Boot mode to UEFI.
Unlike the disk ordering in the boot list of MBR or legacy scheme, the GPT scheme has a new boot option called Windows Boot Manager.
You may need to change the SATA Controller mode to AHCI.

Navigate to Exit panel and click on Exit Saving Changes option to boot into windows.
The first boot will take longer time, so be patient.

To show deleted partition, right click on Start icon then select, Disk management.
Right click on Unallocated space and select, New Simple Volume option.
Change the Size of new Volume if you want, otherwise, click next to take all available size.
Change the assigned letter if you want, otherwise click on Next to continue.
Move the files and folders back to the new volume.

If your computer meets the minimum requirements, there are additional requirements in order to automatically upgrade to windows 11, which are:
It must be running the most current version of Windows 10
The windows 10 must be activated
It should have at least 35 gigabytes free space on the C or windows partition.

FOURTH PART: HOW TO INSTALL WINDOWS 11 IN UNSUPPORTED COMPUTERS:

If your computer doesn’t support UEFI and TPM, you can bypass that by editing the appraiserres.dll file in the Sources folder of windows 11 as followings:
Extract the ISO file of windows 11 using WinRAR app
Open the extracted folder and then open Sources folder
Right click on appraiserres.dll file and then select Edit with Notepad + or any text editor tool.

Press Ctrl + F keys from keyboard to open search dialogue or click on search tab then select Find option
Search for TPM
Select the entire line that contains TPM and press Delete key from keyboard
Repeat previous 2 steps to delete any line containing TPM
To bypass UEFI and Secure Boot limit, search for UEFI and remove any line containing UEFISecureBoot.
Also you can download the appraiserres.dll from links in description to replace the file in the Sources folder in the extracted folder of windows 11.
If you want to do a clean installation of windows by booting from the USB, you have to do the followings:
- Download an ISO file for windows 10 with the same regional language and same edition from the same source you have downloaded Windows 11.
- Open the Rufus tool and flash windows 10 to the USB pen drive in compatible partition style.
- Copy Install.wim file to Sources folder in the USB and replace the existing file.
- If didn’t prompt to replace the file, you may need to convert install file of windows 11 from WIM to ESD using these commands
DISM /GET-WIMINFO /WIMFILE:J:\SOURCES\INSTALL.WIM
DISM /EXPORT-IMAGE /SOURCEIMAGEFILE:J:\SOURCES\INSTALL.WIM /SOURCEINDEX:1 /DESTINATIONIMAGEFILE:D:\WIN11\INSTALL.ESD
Replace J with the letter of Mounted ISO file and replace the D with any partition in your computer.
Boot from the USB and follow instructions from your screen to install windows 11.

There are two different methods to rescue files:
First method: How to retrieve files using command prompt by booting into advanced start up or Windows Recovery Environment from the same damaged computer if it can turn on but won't start-up or boot.
Second method: How to recover data from laptop hard drive that won't turn on into another computer.

First method: How to copy files using command prompt in windows 10 or any windows:

If your PC has only a corruption in the operating system without hardware damage, then you have a chance to copy your files into another partition in the same computer or to an external disk or a USB drive. To do that, you have to boot your PC into Windows Recovery Environment (WinRe) either from the same operating system or by using a windows installation media like DVD or USB drive.

Now see how to copy your files from the internal hard drive to an external hard or USB drive using Command Prompt.


1.3.a. Connect a USB flash card with enough free space.
1.3.b. Open the command prompt.
1.3.c. Type "Notepad.exe" without quotation marks and press Enter.
1.3.d. From Notepad interface, click on "File" panel and select Open.
1.3.e. Navigate into your files in the computer and send them to the USB card.
1.3.f. If there is no enough space on the USB, you will receive an error message like this.
So connect another USB card or hard drive with enough free space and try again.
1.3.g. You will not be able to see the copy dialog.
Also, the computer will become unresponsive during the file copying process
and will return to respond after the copy process is finished.
Also this method will help you to move or copy your data
from the C or windows partition into another partition
if you are planning to perform a clean windows installation
after unrepairable failure in the previous operating system.



Second method: How to backup data from laptop hard drive that won't turn on into another working computer:

If your PC get unrepairable hardware damage, you still have a chance to recover your data from the internal hard disk of the dead computer into another working computer using one of the following items:
- HDD or SSD drive enclosure
- Disk drive connector
- SATA disk Drive Caddy.

They are available for less than 5 dollars and you can purchase one of them from the nearest computer accessories store.

You will need to remove the internal HDD or SSD drive from the dead laptop as following:
2.1. Disconnect the laptop from the power source.
2.2. Remove the battery pack
2.3. Remove the screws that secure the compartment or back cover.
In some laptops, the hard drive and RAM can be accessed by removing a small back cover without need to removing screws.
2.4. Remove the compartment (back) cover.
2.5. Locate the HDD or SSD drive and remove it gently.
2.6. Remove the frame fixing screws.
2.7. Pull the hard disk drive back.
2.8. Take out the hard disk drive and remove the metal frame.

First part: Bypassing requirements check while installing windows 11 from ISO file:
If you are trying to upgrade to windows 11, you can bypass UEFI and or TPM, by editing the appraiserres file as followings:
Extract the ISO file of windows 11 using WinRAR app
Open the extracted folder and then open Sources folder
Right click on appraiserres.dll file and then select Edit with Notepad + or any text editor tool.
You can download Notepad + and WinRAR tools from links in video description
Press Ctrl + F keys from keyboard to open search dialogue or click on search tab then select Find option
Type TPM into search box
Click on Find Next icon or press Enter from keyboard
Select the entire line that contains TPM string and press Delete key from keyboard
Repeat previous 2 steps to delete any line containing TPM

To bypass UEFI and Secure Boot limit, replace the TPM on Search box by UEFI and press Enter
Delete any line containing UEFI Secure Boot string
Also you can download the appraiserres.dll from links in description to replace the file in the Sources folder in the extracted folder of windows 11.

Once you complete deleting all lines, Click on Save icon to save your changes.

Return to main directory of the extracted folder and Double-click the Setup file to start installation process



Second part: Bypassing requirements check while installing windows 11 from bootable USB:
Download Win32ui.zip file from links in video description and extract it to download folder.
Send or copy the DLL file to main directory of the USB pendrive.
Boot from the USB and select the suitable English keyboard and then click next.
If your computer is not supported by Windows 11, you will get an error message like this. In this case, you have to replace Win32ui.dll file in the X partition as followings:
Press shift+F12 keys from keyboard to open CMD
Type DISKPART and press Enter
TYPE LIST VOL and press enter to show the list of volumes
Determine the letter of the USB pendrive
In my case, the D is the USB drive
Type EXIT and press Enter to close DISKPART
Execute this command to rename Win32ui.dll file:
REN X:\SOURCES\WIN32UI.DLL WIN32UI.DLL.OLD
Copy the Win32ui.dll from USB to Sources folder in the X partition using this command:
XCOPY D:\WIN32UI.DLL X:\SOURCES\
As you can see, the file copied successfully.
Close Command prompt and error window
Click Install Now again to start windows installation


As you can see, windows 11 installation proceeded after replacing that file.

On this video, I will show you how to identify the boot partition in windows 10 and how to differentiate between boot and Recovery partitions in both GPT and MBR systems.
Due to the similarity in sizes between the boot and recovery partitions, many users advance into further problem when they mistakenly selected and formatted the recovery partition in order to rebuild BCD file.


This video will help you to select the boot partition correctly, so you can fix start up or boot failure without errors.

1. Boot into windows recovery environment.

2. Open command prompt.
3. Type DISKPART and hit Enter.
4. Type LIST DISK and hit Enter.
If you see this asterisk under GPT column, then your disk is GPT. If there is no asterisk, then your disk is MPR.
5. Type sel disk 0 to select disk that contains windows if you have more than one disk.
6. Type LIST VOL and hit Enter to show available volumes.
As you can see, I have 2 volumes with size less than 500 megabytes with no assigned letter for both, and boot and recovery partitions may have size of 500 megabytes or less and may or may not have an assigned letter. However, your PC may came with both partitions labelled with either Boot or recovery to help differentiating between them. Also in rare cases, your PC may came with assigned letter for one or both partitions.




Now to identify which one is the boot and which one is the Recovery partition, you have to assign a letter for one or both of small partitions in order to see their contents.
7. Select the partition that not have assigned letter using this command:
Sel vol x
(Replace the X with the volume number of partition without letter)
8. Type the following command to assign the letter to selected partition:
Assign letter=V:
9. You can assign any letter rather than V if there is no another volume have the sane letter.
10. If you have another partition without assigned letter, select it using Sel vol x command, then assign any letter using Assign letter=M command.
11. Type list vol again to see if the letters assigned successfully to the partitions or not.
12. After assigning the letters, type EXIT to close Diskpart.
13. Execute the following command to show files and folders inside V partition:
Dir /a /b /s V:
As you can see, the V is the recovery partition in my laptop, because it contains the winre.wim file which stand for Windows Recovery Environment, Windows Installation Media.
Note: If the windows recovery in your laptop disabled, you will not see the recovery partition among other partitions or volumes.


Now, lets confirm that the m partition is the boot.
14. Execute the following command:
Dir /a /b /s M:




As you can see, the M is the boot partition in my laptop because it contain the BCD files.


There is a difference between GPT and MPR systems in the name and path of BCD file as following:
In BIOS boot or MBR-based system, the boot manager called Bootmgr and its path is: System Drive\ Bootmgr.
In GPT or UEFI-based system, the boot manager called Bootmgfw.efi and its path is: \EFI\Microsoft\Boot\bootmgfw.efi.






15. To remove assigned letters for boot or recovery partitions do the followings:
16. Type DISKPART and hit Enter.
17. Type LIST VOL and hit Enter.
18. Select the recovery partition using this command:
Sel vol 2

On this video, I will show you how to fix Microsoft account if you can't sign in into Microsoft Store or any Microsoft app in windows 10 and windows 11, with the following Sign-in Error code: 0x801901f4

I have tried several methods used to solve most common problems of Microsoft Store or similar Microsoft apps, but all of them failed to fix this error code at least for me, however, I will show you all those methods before showing you the new one that works in my laptop, so you can try them if you have different error source than me.

Also I will apply all methods on Microsoft Store app, however, the sign in issue will be fixed in all Microsoft apps that require Microsoft account, such as Cortana, Microsoft Edge, Settings, Mail, Skype, Microsoft Office and other apps, because the login will be synchronized with all of them automatically.

FIRST METHOD: REPAIR OR RESET THE MICROSOFT STORE APP:
Right-click on Store app and then select App Settings
In windows 10, Right-click on store app and select More, and then select App Settings
Scroll down and click on Repair icon
Repair option is not available n windows 10 at this time.
If the Repair option not helped, try Reset option

SECOND METHOD: USE TROUBLESHOOTER:
Right-click on start icon and open Settings
Click on Update and security option and then select Troubleshot option
Click on Additional Troubleshooters option
Scroll down and then select, Windows Store Apps
Click on Run the Troubleshooter and apply the suggested fixes according to identified problem in your computer.


THIRD METHOD: RE REGISTER THE MICROSOFT STORE APP:
- Open the App settings and then click on Terminate option
Right-click on start icon and open Windows PowerShell as Admin
Execute this command to change the Execution policy to Unrestricted:
POWERSHELL -EXECUTIONPOLICY UNRESTRICTED
Execute this command to re-register Store app:

$MANIFEST = (GET-APPXPACKAGE MICROSOFT.WINDOWSSTORE).INSTALLLOCATION + '\APPXMANIFEST.XML' ; ADD-APPXPACKAGE -DISABLEDEVELOPMENTMODE -REGISTER $MANIFEST

FOURTH METHOD: THE SOLUTION THAT WORKS FOR ME:
Open Store app and search for Free VPN app
Select the desired app from the list. In my case, I selected this one.
Click on Get or Install option to start installation
Click Launch to open the VPN app
Click on Maybe Later option
Select any country from the list to change your browsing location and then click on the Flag icon to connect to the selected server.
Once the connection established, back to App Store and Sign in using your Microsoft email, phone or Skype account.

If your problem starts after this window, try to login to Microsoft from any browser to make sure your account is valid and not blocked.

Enter the PIN or the Password that you are using offline to login to your computer.

As you can see, the sign in process done successfully, and the login data synchronized automatically with all app belong to Microsoft, such Cortana, Settings, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Edge Browser and other apps.

If you get an error message saying that “You will need the Internet for This”,
with this error code “0x800713AB”, then you have to troubleshot your internet connection or to disable the VPN app.

I will show you 4 methods to repair or to restore the WinRE environment in Windows 10, however, the procedure is the same for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Method number 1:
Type CMD into Search box, then run command prompt as administrator
If you are booting from USB, open command prompt and Execute this command to identify windows partition:
BCDEDIT
Execute this command to change CMD directory to System 32 folder.
CD /D C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32
Execute the following command to show of windows identifier:
BCDEDIT /V /ENUM OSLOADER
Type this command without hitting Enter:
REAGENTC /ENABLE /OSGUID
Copy the identifier of windows and paste it after previous command then press Enter.
Make sure the description is containing Windows 10 or the windows version that is installed on your PC.
In running windows, you can execute Reagentc command with or without using OSGUID.



Method number 2:
Search for WinRe.wim image file using this command:
DIR /S /A C:\WINRE.WIM
If the file found in another folder, copy it into recovery folder using this command:
XCOPY /H C:\RE_BACK\WINRE.WIM C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY
Execute Reagentc Command again to enable Recovery.


Method number 3:
Type DISKPART and hit enter
Type LIST DISK and hit enter
SEL DISK 0
Execute this command to show the list of volumes:
LIST VOL
Execute this command to show the list of partitions:
LIST PART
Recovery partition usually labelled with Recovery name and its size around 500 megabytes with NTFS file system, but not FAT32 file system.
In a custom manufacturer recovery with additional apps or tools, the size of partition may extended into many gigabytes.
If the recovery volume doesn’t have a letter, give it V letter using the following 2 commands:
SEL VOL 2
ASSIGN LETTER=V
Execute EXIT command to close DISKPART
Show contents of the V partition using this command:
DIR /S /A V:
XCOPY /H V:\RECOVERY\WindowsRE\WINRE.WIM C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY
ATTRIB -S -H -R V:\RECOVERY\WINDOWSRE\*.*
Delete all files in WindowsRE folder using this command:
del V:\RECOVERY\WINDOWSRE\*.*
In running windows, you may need to set the recovery path using this command:
REAGENTC /SETREIMAGE /PATH C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY
Rename the Ragent.xml file in recovery folder using this command:
REN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY\REAGENT.XML REAGENT.OLD
Enable recovery Environment using ReagentC command as on method number 1.
If the reagentc failed with this error message, “The boot configuration data has not been configured” or “REAGENTC.EXE: Unable to update Boot Configuration Data”, you can fix that as followings:
execute the following command to rebuild BCD,
BCDBOOT C:\WINOWS


Method number 4: How to enable Recovery if the required files are missing?
If the WinRE.wim file is not available in windows or recovery partition, you have to copy it from ISO file of windows installation with the same or newer build number then installed windows.
In running windows,
Double click the ISO file to mount it and memorize its letter.
When booting from a USB, open Notepad:
Click on file tab then select Open option
Click on this PC icon to show all partitions
Determine the letter of the USB drive
In my system, the D partition is assigned to USB partition.

Extract the first index from Install.wim file using this command:
MD C:\MOUNT
DISM /MOUNT-IMAGE /IMAGEFILE:D:\SOURCES\INSTALL.WIM /INDEX:1 /MOUNTDIR:C:\MOUNT /READONLY
Copy the WinRE.wim:
XCOPY /H C:\MOUNT\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY\WINRE.WIM C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY
I have already created a bootable recovery image for windows 10 X64 version 19041.

XCOPY /H E:\SOURCES\BOOT.WIM C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY
Replace the E with the letter of the USB drive or the mounted ISO file in your computer.
Rename the boot.wim file to Winre.wim:
REN C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\RECOVERY\BOOT.WIM WINRE.WIM
Finally execute the Reagentc command again to enable Recovery.

MBR2GPT is a tool in newer windows 10 and windows 11 that can be used to convert the disk scheme from MBR to GPT system without losing data or reinstalling windows.
However, you have to take a backup copy before converting your disk to GPT.
Error sources:

Disk Layout Validation Failed for Disk 1 or disk 0, is an error message that indicates that your disk is not valid for conversion process due to one of the following errors:
1.The disk has more than 3 partitions
2. The disk has a logical, extended or dynamic partition
3. The disk doesn’t contain a valid boot partition.

Although there are many other error sources with different error messages. Examples of other error sources are, the disk is write-protected or BitLocker-locked, the disk has a GPT disk scheme, or windows partition doesn't have enough free disk space to create an EFI System Partition (ESP) if the MBR boot partition is not useable.
EFI partition usually requires 100 megabytes, but in 4k sector technology, it requires at least 260 megabytes.
